Default office bugged

I work in WV and I am quite sure my boss has bugged my office since I spoke to Board Members regarding improprieties in the office. Is this legal?

Normally no if it is an area you expect is private; but some surveillance is allowed for certain situations so only say what you are comfortable saying publicly.
