Default Assaulted and threatened in front of my employer.

I am a truckdriver for a privately family owned agricultural business. I arrived at work this morning and was grabbed by the throat and slammed into the wall by a fellow driver and was threatened by said driver, all of this took place directly in front of my employer, who just sat and watched the show. After the driver finished threatening me, he left the office. My employer then informed me that he and the assaulter had spoken about the drivers mood towards me and that he(assaulter) was going to set me straight on a couple things. My employer told me to just let things "blow over" that the other driver was just letting off some steam. My question is: Do I have any legal recourse which I could take against my employer or the driver who assaulted me, or both? I was not injured in the assault, I just feel very threatened and nervous about this other driver and if I now need to grow eyeballs in the back of my head!

File a police report and the police will act. It may be hard to tie the employer in, but the police presence will send a big message.

Nobody has the right to do what they did to you.
