Work Place Harrassment

I recently worked for a Car Dealership that transferred me to another store that was 2 hours away from where I was currently located. I was a finance manager for the dealership, and was treated to a very hard lecture everyday from the owner. Always including profanity and yelling and degrading . There was always other people in the office when this happened. At one point the owner of the dealership even threatened to "wrap my hands around your throat and choke the f'n life out of you" . After three months of verbal abuse I couldn’t take it anymore. So I quit and moved back home. They had promised to pay for my move which they never did and held half of my last pay check. Is there anything I can do? Thanks in advance

Since all the harassment you had made are verbal, you have no evidence. You can go back to request the payment which they had promised, and also ask apolizy from the own for verbal abuse. When you are talking with them, hid a tiny tape recorder and try to record everything. This tape will be evidence eventually.

Check with the police or DA in your city to see if recording is allowed if you want to do that.
