Default salary-hourly

2 ISSUES..i put in for a transfer. Transfer granted. I was a salaried employee last week of may i put in for vacation time to end the month. Moved to different state to work, with same company. They are making me pay back that last week I left. I dont think I should since I used vacation time. $50 a week is taken out of my check since June 07. Should I check into this.
Second question..My immediate boss put me hourly at a rate that is less then what I have made since 1999. Can he just give me any hrly rate? My Social Security paper shows my gross and I calculated by the hour and no where near what he put me at when I returned. I have requested a paper on how he came up with this amount and the past month he has yet to provide me with it. Should I dig deeper into this or dont cause any static. I love my job and have been here 14 yrs. Employees that have been here less than a year almost make what I am making. Help and let me know what direction I need to go to bring this issue up and not to jeopardize my credibility at my job. I only ask for what I deserve. I believe he cut my pay because he was upset my leaving, which I have returned since then. Thank you.

Accrued vacation time has to be paid or you may call the dept of labor to report them

As to the wage they can do whatever they want if you have no contract but you have to agree, or quit. Firms normally don't lower wages without some very significant reason.

so technically my vacation time would account for the end of the month going from salary to hourly, correct. So I have legitimate reason to go further.

also, My boss will not provide me with legitimate paperwork showing the reasoning of my lower wages.

so your best opinion I should at least consider these two issues and persue them, if I am reading you correctly.
Thank you for your help.

I would say yes as to issue one but the employer does not have to give you information as to the wage change. If you are not happy with it however you could threaten to leave. Don't do that unless you mean it however.
