Default RESOLVE CONVICTION

I WAS CONVICTED OF A MISDEMEANOR IN 1998. EVER SINCE WHEN EMPLOYERS DO A BACKGROUND CHECK A FELONY COMES UP. WHAT CAN BE DONE? I AM WILLING TO PAY A FEE TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER.
