Confused Privacy of Diabilities

I was in a fabric store on Friday and a supervisor question my parking in a handicap space. I told her that I had legal disabilities and she demanded to know what they were. I also work there occasionaly. But does she have the right to demand an explantation.

Did you have the permit in your car? She has no right to inquire further
