Default due process and reemployment

hello,

I resigned from my job as a respiratory therapist in February. I did so in lieu of being terminated.I was going to be fired for documenting therapy I was sure I had given, but as it turned out it had not been done.
As a result of this a complaint was filed with my state board [KY] .The board did not have discussion about the matter until April 12 of this year.To date I am still waiting for paperwork that will outline an agreed order that includes suspension of my license for three months. The three month period will not start until I receive and sign the order and send it back to them to be signed. In the meantime I have not sought reemployment as a respiratory therapist and will not be able to do so until the three months is up,I do not feel I am getting due process and I would like to know if I have any legal recourse as far as the money lost while I am bound and gagged by red tape.

I have consulted an attorney who tells me I need to be patient at least until mid month . He said if I did not receive documents by that time to start being the squeaky wheel. I have spoken to the people at the board who can only tell me that the board attorney is quite busy and serves on a dozen other boards and commissions. I do not feel my best interests are being served and I would like some feedback. Thank you.

You do have the right to a prompt determination. Tell your lawyer to demand or at least request a timetable--or indeed you may sue for damages and lost income.

BTW--I am sure WLD's Board lawyers could intervene and push it along as well if need be.
