Default Business being sold

What are my rights where the Business that I currently work for is being sold.
Been with the company for 20 yrs, owner is selling, am I now out of a job??
What are my rights?

Unless you have a contract or agreement they can let you go eventually.

The business was sold, out on my ear. No severance due to small company, under $1,000,000 on the payroll. All I got was a thank you and my final pay packet (including this yrs holiday pay). Thanks for your comments, nothing I can do about it now except apply in other directions.
