Default concerned employee

we have many problems within our company, but one problem that really
stands out is people talking/laughing LOUDLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
please tell me this is a form of harrassment or at least tell me what advise
you may have. most of the staff does not have confidence in our HR dept.

any advise/suggestions ????????? also- is loudness in depts (offices where
people are on the phone) considered harrassement ??

thanks,
concerned

the person who responded with "buy earplugs".............Question: Are you
a "REAL" lawyer or just trying to convince others you are ?????
Maybe the loud noise this person is speaking of is very serious and they
want to know how the (true) law sees it. Ear plugs may not be an option.
this is why I question are you really a lawyer?? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELLO CONCERENED EMPLOYEE,

MAYBE YOU NEED TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR
"EMPLOYMENT" SITUATION. DO YOU WORK IN AN OFFICE; CUBICALS OR
A PRIVATE OFFICE. HOW IS YOUR DEPT SET UP??? MAYBE YOU ARE
NOT ASKING THE WRITE QUESTIONS TO GET YOU ANSWERS. I CAN SEE
WHERE THE "EAR PLUG" RESPONSE CAME FROM, BUT IF THIS "EAR PLUG" PERSON IS A LAWYER, THEY WOULD HAVE ASKED YOU MORE QUESTIONS.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND IGNORE THE "EAR PLUG" COMMENT. THIS PERSON IS NOT!!!! A LAWYER AND DOES NOT KNOW YOUR CIRMUMSTANCES AND DOESNT CARE.

......ANONOYMOUS

Perhaps you should ask a lawyer what are the listings of all types of
"harrassment" in the workplace. I doubt "loudness" is one of them, but an
attorney may take your question more seriously.

Thanks and good luck to you.

FYI....Lawyers are responding to these emails.

Concerned:

That is not really "harassment" in the workplace. And legally there is not too much you can do unless it violates an agreed contract, labor agreement, union rule, employee manual etc. that you have.

Talk to higher management. They really should respond if the problem is serious and it distracts you. Any decent company would respond.
