hello
first i wanted to state that i dont speak english perfect but ill try my best explaining here is my problem some time ago (about 16 months) my wife went for maternity for 9 months, at that time she was employed as Administrator in the company after 9 months maternity she came back to work asking for flexible hours work( she couldn't work full time becouse she had to look after baby) however manager said that she cant get back to her previous work at flexible hours. and wife had to chose work full time at her previous position as administrator or at lower position and lower money but flexible hours as a line worker so my wife accepted flexible hours work for less money (thats per hour) and now my wife going back to full time and she was accepted back as administrator however manager said she will be on training for 3 months now earning low pay rates even she doesnt need any training becouse she had all training given before maternity and she knows everything etc not to mention she already doing this work for already one week and no additional training was given so far and she doing just fine I was told by my friend that she can request earlier test to check if she needs training or not and eventualy go straight to administrators earnings, and such a request can not be rejected by manager is this true? can my wife try this way? or maybe ther is another legal way to get to her position from before maternity we live in UK please help Kind regards Patrik |

[I was told by my friend that she can request earlier test to check if she needs training or not and eventualy go straight to administrators earnings,
and such a request can not be rejected by manager] You mean as a matter of law or company policy? I don't think that is true as a matter of law. |
