i was employed as a welder for a company with several different divisions. i was laid off effective 6/12/09. i have now been offered a unrelated position working a different shift and for a lower hourly wage. if i decline this job how will if affect any unemployment i might receive? really need some help here!

You can not legally decline work and try to collect unemployment compensation if it is within a percentage of your former income regulated by your state.
Check your state guidelines. Still, take the job, perform well and get raises. Today is not the time to decline steady income… Just perform and move up. |
