pa and nj I worked as a rep for a major food company. I was followed on the job and it still continues after I left the company. It started with somebody leaving feathers in the candy boxes by the cash registers then it progressed to having pitacios in my 15oz candy in the candy aisle in different stores. Coupons were put underneath all my products to see if I moved them. My candy was put in poitions to see if I checked for freshness. I had a work with the boss day with the regional head and candy bars were left in the backroom. After this is when I began to be followed. The candy was left by the previous rep. The boss never asked whose candy it was or anything. I had items stolen out of my company vehicle like money and clothes. They would go through my company vehicle and and fold over all of the papers in the vehicle. They began to leave pennies an rubberbands and other objects everywhere that I went. It became an uncomfortable working environment. People would give me double folded dollar bills for change. My supervisor followed me to a store and was waiting on the side of the store in a car that was not his usual company vehicle on company time. Another time he followed me and sat in a parking lot after hours where I observed him off company time. There was no reason for this to happen. There was nothing wrong with my performance and I was one of he better reps. Another time he followed me to a major highway and sat on the side of the road off company hours. I saw another rep in my territory during working hours when he had a territory of his own to cover in another state. I saw him at the local mall on the way to a store call. I left the company and saw the supervisor drive past me ina caravan of cars a block from my house in company off hours. I recognized a person in the caravan. I then observed the same supervisor drive in close proximity to me downtown. Then I saw my first supervisor with somebody I told him I knew from college drive past me. Then I had people from my college and hometown drive past me. I did not have a published address or phone number. How can this not be stalking or harassment if you have to track me down to follow me. I did not live in my hometown anymore. My high school principle drove past me on two occassions when I was walking in a place that was not our hometown. Somebody went into my company vehicle and broke the air conditioning vent when I was on a store call. A noose was left in my trunk. I had to contact the supervisor for something recently and that is when the incidents of the rubberbands, pennies, and other objects rose dramatically. I had asked a supervisor about this and he told me the company has no policy of following people yet I see him following me down the street. Are any of the above incidents illegal, is it stalking or harassment, and what do I do about being followed wherever I go and what do I do if I see somebody from the company following me again? Also, is the company liable in any way? Nobody should have to live or work in this type of environment. I do not know who is leaving the pennies, rubberbands and other objects now. What do I do about that? None of this is coincidence.
