Confused Falsely accused (in California)

Okay, I need a little assistance, I am a manager of a security department, I am contracted to a coproration to maintain site secuirty and a staff of 30 officers. Recently I have had to change schedules for a few officers, one complained and refused to work, would not give a reason whey he could not work. That story ends with a months notice of schedule changes and the one officer ultimatly will be removed form the site I operate, however NOT terminated form the company.

My problem is this, he has falsely complained to my corporate office, stating I am keeping money that employees pay me for badges, as well as being raceist and changing his schedule because of his race. AND lastly for taking radio equipment.

All of whihc is un true.. I have all cash accounted for and verified by the site payroll administrator, I have a log with all radio equipment accounted for and properly secuired. and as for being raceist, the disgruntled employees hours were given to a gentleman from india and another form Somalia. As well as my being American indian and posted on a site that has many cultures in it's employ. I have been on site handling all of the above for four years, the new officers and secuirty company are here less than a year..

I feel the accusations are damaging to my integrity and are being improperly investigated by my corporate office area manager.

I have support form the client I work for and he has stated to the secuirty comapny that they have absolutly no reason to distrust me or to have reason to believe I have done anything wrong.

What are my options? Can I seek legal action against the officer that complained and the company I work for? I am going through undue stress and it is affecting my work performance. I will aslo ad that I am located in California. Please advise, any advice is welcom.

If someone publicly says or writes anything factually untrue and it damages you, you indeed can sue for slander, libel, defamation, interference with business relations etc. -- or at least threaten to do so and give a warning.

WLD could normally assist if need be.
