Default Freedom Of Speech??

My employer and I parted ways after an incident involving the falsifying of documents by an employee of mine after I told her I wanted no part in her plan...(the genreal manager of the company also told us to do what we had to do in order to make it look good - I refused) eventually after speaking with the HR dept and the company lawyer they did nothing to the employee that falsified them or to the GM for suggesting it...That is the main reason I left as if I cant trust the people I work with there seems to be no sense in working with them - so I gave them a list of my reasons and then gave my notice. Long story short I have a MYSPACE account where I posted a blog (DID NOT use names of people involved or the comapny name) about recent "happenings in my life" and told the people who lied and cheated that they were the ones who had to sleep at night and look at themselves in the mirror knowing they lied and cheated etc...Now my question - my employer on my last day questioned me about MYSPACE page and told me If I said any more bad stuff about the company or their employees (mind you again I DID NOT USE NAMES OR THE COMPANY NAME -) they would not hesitate to pursuse all legal action against me for libel and or slander. Since I did not use names or the comapny name they are assuming the blog is about them - what can they really do? The thing I DID say was I was giving my two week notice and leaving hell so stay tuned for more of the story...I want my side out there so others know who they are dealing with - of course again no names are mentioned or will be. Since MYSPACE has nothing to do with my employment/employer what can they really do if I tell my side with "ficticious names?" I think the letter they gave me talking about legal action was a scare tactic and nothing else. What do you think??

Default Re: Freedom Of Speech??

They would not be able to successfully sue you; and truth is a defense--you can post anything that is true.
