Confused Job description

Hi quick question here. If I was hired in to do a certain job and the description says to assist someone, but instead I have been told to do the job alone should they owe me back pay for this time? I perform the exact function now as another co-worker and they are in a higher paying job classification. Thanks

Default Re: Job description

They don't have to pay you more.

...but you can ask/negotiate, and you can quit if it is more than you want to do for the wage you have.
