Is this kidnapping, false imprisonment, or anything?
Can a company refuse to allow you to leave their premises unless you call another to pick you up, or call a taxi to drive you home? I went to their doctor for a medical issue. He gave me a full release for work with no restrictions. However, in spite of this my company refused to allow me to leave work premises, unless someone came to drive me 75 miles home citing the medical reason that I went to their doctor for.
Is this legitimate? |

They can if they feel that you may be injured or dizzy or they have some concern for your condition/safety.

You could make an issue of it, or try to press charges if it is worth it?
