employers mistake leaves me hanging
I was granted a criminal records exemption two years ago when I went to work at the facility I am currently employed with. I was just informed that I could not work there because there was a problem with my fingerprints and state picked it up. So I find out on my own the reason is that they did not file my exemption papers so they became void. Well now because of their mistake I no longer am legally able to work at any facility at all. Please tell me, is there anything I can do about this?

You could threaten to take legal action since you did rely on what they said--and you could have pursued a more secure job etc.
They may compromise with you. World Law's lawyers could also probably help resolve this if need be. You may email them on the home page. |
