Will I Be Reinstated at Work?

I have been wrongfully indicted on a felony charge (theft). I have a public defender but there has been little movement on the case in the last month and a half.

Last week, after my supervisor encouraged me to discuss the matter with her boss, I was suspended without pay. I don't know how long this case could drag out but it's not likely to be settled in the next few weeks. This job operates on a contract system. Is there any chance of me recovering my pay for the rest of the contract period? I have no criminal record and have had no discplinary action at my job.
