I currently work for a company located in California with 1 owner, 4 employees paid on w-2 income and 1 person paid on 1099 income (sales person). I know I don't qualify for FMLA since we have fewer than 50 employees, but what am I entitled to? The owner has said that they will be hiring more people this year, but I'm still concerned. I read through the info on the EDD site and it appears that I may not be elligible for job protection since my employer has fewer that 5 employees? Is that correct? Am I eligible for PDL or any aditional leave?
