Help Needed

I'm not sure if anyone can help me here, but this was the second place I stumbled upon that had anything to do with imigration and marriage. Sifting through some of the information is so confusing!! I have a friend in Canada who has met someone online. I'm not sure how long they have even known each other. But I know it's just not long. Supposedly the story is, he was a lawyer in france, but has since moved back home to where he came from in Algeria to start a new law practice. What is supposed to happen is that sometime before christmas he is traveling to Canada, and will be staying for 2 or 3 weeks. In this time period is when the marriage is supposed to be taking place. Then They are all headding back to Algeria to live happily ever after. Personally I think it's garbage, and that she's got her head so far in the clouds that she can't think straight! Something just doesn't seem right. So I'm doin' some homework to gather ammo. Could someone please give me some information on if the marriage is even possible in this short amount of time in Canada? Especially since he's not a Canadian citizen. If I can't get any help here does anyone know of any good sites that I could get some good information from? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated........Thanks a bunch

Well she indeed can marry him but he cannot be coming to the country just for that purpose if he says he is coming for a general visit.

She may want to verify a little of that background informationon him.
