I believe you will need to leave the country in order to re-enter as a different kind of immigrant or non-immigrant. If you do not marry, you cannot apply for a student or visitor visa.

Hi all, I had great trouble trying to get my k1 visa sorted and after it all it got rejected! All the time and effort it took was for nothing. Searching for another way i found this ebook written by a lawyer, finally some one to explain and help me. I wish i had of found this first it would have saved me and my partner a year of uncertainty and frustration. It has everything in one place and now we are living happily. If you need help give it a go!
