DIabetes and my job

i have type one diabetes and perform my work mostly as i am supposed to. However, because i am insulin dependent, every so often my blood sugar drops unexpectedly and many times has resulted in my being sent home by the factories medical first responders. The company allows ONLY 8 occurences in a year and in 3 months (i have been fulltime three months but with the time i worked for the temp sevice it is nearly 7) i have used 5, 4 times the company sent me home. they have basically said that there is nothing i can do but work or not work and risk being fired for missing too much. I have a disease that usually when brought into court gets thrown out sayin it isnt covered under the americans with disabilities acts however to a degee it is. any advice???
