I am one of 4 Dms I always had 1 more store then anyone and have been being paid less than the 3 male dms and now because of finantial problems with the company they decided to demote me to a store manager temporarily ( about 10 to 12 months ).I have always been praise for my work and when I asked why me? they said it had to be someone and they decided me. I told them that was not a good enough reason and resigned. Do I have a case? I know about EEOC but wanted to know if there is a case first

If there is no strong reason for the lower pay that indeed could be reason for a lawsuit or complaint.
You could consult your nearest Department of Labor office to briefly discuss the issue with them first...you may also want to ask the company to put what is happening in writing and explain to them that you may have attorneys review the situation. |
