I have a co-worker that keeps on telling me how I should be doing my job, even though she is not my boss. When I tell her I don't have to listen to her she says "oh yes you do Lard Ass". I have had my other co-workers come up and tell me that's the name she calls me even when I am not around. What Can I do to stop this I have already submitted a written complaint to my supervisor.

Your managers should be made aware and they should tell her if she calls employees names, she will be fired.
Any reputable firm will act to stop that behavior. |

At least they say it to your face. That you can stop as the reply above mentioned. However, evil little people will always talk about you behind your back. You apparently are insecure with your appearance. Maybe this is a wake up call...
Sorry to be so forthright, it is just my style. |

name calling is name calling whether the person is inscure or not is not the issue. if your black and some one calls you a ****** does this mean your inscure because your black. when some one calls you a name it doesn't mean that it is true (jjones) you just assumed the person looked liked the name they were being called. you need your own wake up call

I hate to “Dumb Down” this site, but I am going to reply to the Unregistered poster.
If the comment was true or not is not the issue. The fact that something we should have learned growing up is my focus. “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me”. Tell the supervisor and move on. We, as people can not let names affect our performance in life or at work. Now, as for being black… I have no idea where that came from. The original poster and their first thread quoted the co-worker calling them “Lard A**”. I did not read any racial comments made by any co-workers. If this post would have been about race, my answer would have been structured differently. Lastly, people like Unregistered tend to make this site unprofessional. I feel that everyone should register, write with punctuation and spell check their posts. These types of reply posts just seem to make this site seem unsupervised. Maybe we should have third graders post and we can reply with a spell checked version of their original post. |
