harassed for having 6 kids & even to new employer after I quit!

I quit a $100,000 a year job because my general manager and the owner harass me because my wife and I together have 6 kids. My wife loves being a mom to all these children & is really offended by all these rude comments. My GM has refered to me as a "fat ass"! So bottom line is I quit & now he is calling my new employer & telling them all kinds of untrue things about me. How long to I have to take this...I quit and am still being harassed by him.

By the way my previous employer was Scott's One Hour Heating & Air in Tampa, Florida!

If someone publicly says or writes anything factually untrue and it damages you, you indeed can sue for slander, libel, defamation, interference with business relations etc. -- or at least threaten to do so and give a warning.
