I was let go due to "reduction in workforce". I don't feel that this was the reason I was let go. There is 4 CSR in my department, including me. I had 9 1/2 years of service with the company. The other 3 had apprx 12 years, 3 years and 5 months. I have never been reprimanded and had never had complaints from the customers. The other 3 CSR have been talked to about being late, customer complaints, etc. I had cancer in 2006. I had surgery in 2007 and was off work for 4 1/2 months. I worked during first round of chemo and radiation. I then got a streph infection in 2008 and was off work for 7 1/2 months. On 2/5 I was the only person in my department let go due to reduction in the workforce. I feel that I was let go due to my medical condition. Would this be hard to prove?

Yes it would. Unless there is a cba or some other bindng contract lay offs do not have to go by time served. Without a direct link to your condition to your lay off your dead in the water
