I have filed a sexual discrimination suit with EEOC against a Lt. at a police department. I got a letter in the mail advising me that the Lt. was infact guilty of discrimination. I received a phone call from EEOC requesting the action I would like to see taken. They mentioned around $10,000 and disciplinary actions. Should I seek legal counsel to assist me in this process? Whta type of punishment is usually given for an employee who discriminates against a officer of the opposite sex?

Did it effect your job; did you have to quit, what actually happened?

Yes--get their offer and hire counsel to help increase it; the lawyer should not get paid unless the amount offered goes up.
