womens rights or wrongs

i have worked at the same factory for 5 years. we make furniture there are 4 women sprayers on the line and two men. i received a promotion and now am the line leader which was great with me. i was making 7.50 an hour before they gave everyone in the factory .25 cents and gave me .50 cents told me after 90 more days i would receive a bigger raise well that time has come and gone i am still just making 8 an hour which i didnt complain about until i found out last week that one of the men sprayers on the line makes 8.50 and he has only been there 9 months is this discrimination. his job is a little harder than the other jobs on that line, but i did that job for 2 years and was just as good at it if not better why am i not making that much. this company as far as i know has never had a female supervisor until me. i do all the work on the line the other supervisor doesnt do anything and everyone knows it i went to the plant manager and complained as of yet i havent been told anyting and i would like to know if a lawsuit could actually come out in my favor because this place has done people wrong for years and i was hoping this would make them open there eyes and realize people dont have to put up with it any longer. should i wait to see what happens first or just go o with whatever.
