Angry Unauthorized Photo of My Minor Children on Facebook

Someone on Facebook has posted pictures of 2 of my children, ages 5 and 8, without my permission. I have asked this person to remove the photos but they refuse. What can I do to have them removed. I have tried to contact Facebook with no luck.

I wish to inform you that if Facebook had not taken any action then you may give a notice to other party that they must remove your children's photo. In this a lawsuit may be filed if other person refuses to remove photos and court order for injunction may be taken in this regard. Further if photo tend to defame your children then your lawsuit may include compensation for defamation.

The person who posted the pictures is my ex-husband's girlfriend. My ex does not have custody of my children. I am their sole caregiver. She is in most of the pictures of my children. My ex is not in any of the photos.

Question ... Case scenario: I had a child with my presently ex-gf. Never got married. She hired a photographer to take pics of our child without my consent. The photographer used these pics on her website as promotional material, also without my consent. The same pics were posted on Facebook without my consent. The last name of the child bears my last name, even though it's not. How can I have those pics removed from facebook and her website (legally)?

Confused Re: Unauthorized Photo of My Minor Children on Facebook

I'm on the opposite side of this argument I guess. My sister is threatening to sue me (she didn't ask me to remove the pics first, just jumped straight to suing me) if I don't remove pictures that I took of her and her family at family functions (Christmas, bridal shower, family dinners etc.) from facebook. Can she actually sue me over these pictures? She is just doing this because she is mad at me and trying to be awful.
