Hi all,
My question pertains to laws regarding satirical/parodied sites? I was promised (in writing) that any details sent to an administrator in private (either on the forum Private Message tool or personal e-mail) will be kept strictly confidential. This was not the case though. As a result, many members knew my personal information and spread this all over the forum, which in itself is defamation of character. What rights do I have in such a case? Are there any laws for satirical sites to keep confidentiality? Thank you for your advice to come. Best regards -- SeekingAdviceSA |

You can ask for credit monitoring or other services if you fear ID theft etc., but that is not itself defamation.
