I sent an inappropriate text message from Text2Day.com to a mobile phone.

The message was (just bathroom talk) but there were no threats, or curses in that, however; my ip address was sent along in the text message.

Could I be arrested or get a subpoena for sending that? It was no threat. Would a judge even accept that and force my isp to give my information to law enforcement?

If I would get caught, what is the punishment?

If it wasn't a real threat you probably are not going to be charged with anything, but in this day and age of technology, what you say, in whatever format, could be used against you later.

While many states have laws limiting the recording of conversations, whether in person or on the phone, if a person voluntarily creates a recorded message or statement, whether on a voice mail system or by sending an email, the statements made likely are admissible in a court proceeding.
