Please advice me

I am in desperate need for help and advice, I will try to be brief but its a but complicated.

I am Swedish, 24 years old student, I have a girlfriend in thailand who I been with 2 years. Recently she had some trouble with th local police and was extorted and threatned with jail if she didnt pay aprox. 1300$. She only had 15 days to pay, and couldnt borrow or get money from family, so ashamed to ask me for help she went behind my back and she made a misstake by recorded nude videos and pics for a chinese guy who would make a website. So even without knowing this I offered her to send the money and did so, and payed back taht guy his 1300$ which she got for the videos, and told him she dont want him put th website up. The guy did so anyway and she was unaware about it untill i found out few days ago.

Now, the problem is that the Chinese guy also sold that website to an American who then put the website up, and it is probably on a server in US.

Now of course we want that website closed and gone, the chinese guy has been arrested and facing trail, and he has tried to get the American to close it and get the access code to the website, but he doesnt want to give it.

So my question is, what can I do, I am furious over this and feel so helpless.
Sure there must be a law where you cant put up picture of a person without their approval or some kind of contrant?

Can I sue the website, can I go through american law somehow. I dont know anything about Law, so I beg for your help.

I am very sorry for your troubles -- I hope things work out for you and your girlfriend. I read everything you posted, and the bottom line is this. Given the complexity of the situation, the seriousness, and the jurisdictions involved, this is not going to get resolved without the intervention of legal counsel. If you go to the WLD main page, you can contact them and request referral information. They have nearly 400 lawyers all over the world from my understanding. This is really the only option worth pursuing at this point. AJJ
