i was doing something immoral yes but legal...i was on craigslist and at the casual encounter section and was chatting with a girl of legal age, i sent her two pictures of me and my cell phone # and that is all i ever heard from her. then i got an email saying i have been put up on "thepervertednet.com"..come to find out that website is ran by mike crook.he posted my pics and my cell#.he stated that even though nothing was illegal that we are perverts. i begged and pleaded for him to take down my pics but nothing..do i have any legal course course here..can i now copyright my pics and make him take it down..i never gave permission to use them

nope---you did it and it was public--sorry


maybe some lawyer will help you strong-arm them--that is your only chance

You "gifted" the pictures to whomever you sent them to. This means they no longer belong to you! Whomever you gave these pictures to was free to do whatever he/she liked with them long as it was legal. In this case it was. You have no protection over stupidity. Your only arguement "might" be is any false caption they may have put with your picture

I feel sorry for you! The only real perverted.net is the jerk who did this. A sick, pitiful excuse for a man who get his "jollies" hurting people. A self-proclaimed blogger who only did this to make money not protect people.
Although I personally don't agree with "casual encounters" it is legal. My question is "Is it legal for him to drive people to his site?"

This is the second time he has done this. He does this for notariety etc. Seriously, the best thing to do with Crook is to totally ignore him. 95% of the internet does already. He has been thrown off of more hosting sites than carter has pills for attacking dead children, veterans, etc. If you call him on anything, he will fold like a deck of cards. He is an internet joke, a troll, and a no-body!

I think you can sue him for 'unfair and obnoxious use' of a 'gift' causing you 'defamation'! you can also allege his black mailing you through the 'gift' you gave him pure 'in good faith' for 'nona fide' custody.

alternatively, you can just forget about this crook of a Crook and just smile away at his stupidity!

If he posted your private information, such as your phone number or home address and said info was aquired by fraudulent means, you can go after him. He claims to be broke to everyone, but seems to have enough money to register domain names and get hosting for about a dozen sites, so who knows.

Bottom line is, the guy is sick in the head.
