I also recieved an email 2day from blizzard saying i was banned because i was involved in online trading(power leveling)...i was on vacation from 28th of june until 6th of july and when i left my char was lvl 72.when i came back tho it was 78...i was suprised...despite tht fact i continued playing and lvled my char to 80..nw after all the time i spent lvling the character blizz banned me for wt? i emailed blizz and im still awaiting for a replay...also i made a virus scan and found a keylogger ..googled search the name and ended up being a logger tht saves accounts names and pass.. with the help of my antivirus i deleted the logger and the files assosiated...i wish blizz makes a second investigation because i really love my rogue and i spent a long time on my account..also i hav 5 70s on the account and everything is gone...:S

haha this is what happend to me it is stupid i got banned for apperntly hacking sever lmfao what a ****ing joke when i was getting boosted in FE :S are they on crack man they are scams i bin a loyal customer 2 years and i have never commited a sin on that game never and they goo band me for **** i didnt do i was gonna giv em a call but from your feedback theres no piont

I am also in the same boat here. After almost FIVE YEARS of paying for WoW, being a loyal and supportive customer and adhering to all the rules set out in the EULA and ToS, I logged on to find out that my account had been 'banned for economic exploitation'. I have been involved and connected to the game development industry for almost 18 years and I go out of my way to make sure that I play fairly and follow all the rules. I have never bought or sold gold or ever used any kind of bots or hacks. The only addons I have ever used all came from Curse.com and are used commonly by every player that raids. I also got ZERO warnings or emails and have never even had a 'warning' from Blizzard about any kind of exploitive behavior. When I explained what happened (in multiple emails to their Account Administration department) the only responses I got from them were obviously form letters that made it clear that everything I had to say to defend my account and my good name were falling on deaf ears and being completely ignored. I am, at this point, completely convinced that Blizzard does not care about me (or for that matter anyone) as customers - we are all just sheep to them - sheep that can be slaughtered on a whim. Their business practices are reprehensible, their customer service is for all intents and purposes non-existant and the only thing they care about is continuing to fatten their wallets. They may be the 900 pound gorilla on the block at the moment, but the day someone else takes them off their high horse I will be laughing (and that day will come). I have no intention of ever buying or playing another Blizzard product at any point ever again in the future and will do my best to encourage others to do likewise. If you have been unfairly banned, remember that your consumer dollar is the loudest voice you can speak with. Support other game companies that DO value your business. Try to draw your friends into games published by other companies that DO care about their customers. Whatever you do, do NOT financially support Blizzard in any way, shape or form as your money is the only thing they care about or want.

i got a similar email saying i had been using 3rd party cheat devices i have barely been using addons not to mention hacks. and my account was currently compromised and i was in the middle of getting it back so after 15 minutes of playing and was in the middle of getting my lost gear from the mail i was disconected and i try relogging thinking it was a lag produced dc and what do ya know it says this account has been closed and is no longer available for use. so i went to find out what i did. I recieved an email telling me that i have been using these devices. So i called account and billing for you people that need to know where they will help with this we talked to an employee who reviewed my account and saw that it had been compromised and had no clue why i was banned so they check the ENTIRE ACCOUNT HISTORY and i recieve an email in about 24 hours saying pretty much the same thing as before. BLIZZ IS A HUGE SCAM THEY DONT GIVE A CRAP ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!! So after a week i get really pissed so im spamming emails like crazy and still no f**king help i have been playing for 6 years and i loved the world of warcraft and on october 15,2009 this peice of **** happened to me. im never buying from blizzard again they dont care about you they have barely any support and their blizzard site help is crap i wouldnt do anything to compromise my account and i havnt even thought about hacking it NEVER BUY FROM BLIZZARD!
its for your own good their games may be good but their customer support is crappy |
