I have a question regarding a domain name that I registered and has been transferred without my permission.
I will refer this domain as 'mydomain' as I can't specify the real domain here. I registered mydomain.com mydomain.net and mydomain.co.uk domain name in 2006 - with all the same name Later, I went into partnership and he started a uk company with us both being directors, the name of the company was the name of the mydomain. we fell out ! (I discovered I only had 5% of the business) I ceased to be a director. He then got into my personal domain account (without my permission) and transferred the domains mydomain.com and mydomain.net to another account and changed the registered owner. I recieved no warning or confirmation that these domains were transfered, and the transfers were done entirely without my concent. All these domain were registered my me prior to the formation of the company. Since the .com and .net were registered to me personally. I believe that 1. the registrar is obliged to return the domains .com and .net and ownership to me 2. I still own the .co.uk, but am obliged to transfer this to my ex-business partner as he is still director of the company. 3. There is a case for the registrar company for sueing the person who hacked into my domain account and making this fraudulent transfer. Could you confirm if the above is correct ? Thanks in advance. |

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against him (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to his behavior... You may also report him to your police for hacking in...
