Default cottage bought on ebay

I bid and won on a cottage auction on ebay. I sent in the initial fee seller required called document fees. I received a word document the owner called a contract agreement after i sent the winning fees through ebay. The contract agreement (they referred to as same as mortgage)they made up included paying an additional 1200.00 annual fee to > his brother in quebec ontario where the property was located to oversee the > property. It also stated if i fall 2 weeks past a mortgage payment due date at ANY > time they keep ALL monies i paid into it and can resell my cottage.I never > signed it as such fees was not even listed on the auction. I paid 6 months on this > cottage 498.00 a month (for a 49,911.00 loan)and asked since oct 2007 to see > it and they encourged me not to with every excuses in the book,ii) their > lake boats were off the lake til spring, then the ice was not frozen to > cross, pressure cracks in front of cottage etc.until i made the trip myself > end of feb. against their wishes they knew i couldnt access this cottage without them as its by remote lake only. The cottage was not in the condition as on the auction the > generator listed broken,no propane propane lights and stove not working, > pumping system missing, broken window, not custom tile flooring as > advertised, it was cheap linoleum peeled back at walls, tv tower down on > deck rails smashed out deck paint peeled and dock broken, 6 feet snow to get > onto porch to door etc and they listed this as rentable. I also noticed this cottage is still on their rental site as rentable all year round since i bought it.I emailed them with > list of problems owner agreed to get an estimate stated that he would > replace a couple board on dock is all. when i found out pump and generator were broken he said well ill get another.I stopped paying them and asked my money > back now they are stating i am required to give them upcoming taxes money 450.00 without me seeing an actual tax bill > and insurance fees for new year. Im sick of this situation and heartbroken, > i feel that if they intended to fix it at all it would have been done before > sale. I understand i was ripped off but where do i go now? I never signed > that word document mortgage agreement though they now state since we exchanged > money its legal and binding signed or not and threatening they have #leading > attorneys in the country if i try to get my money back they will take me to court sue me with breach of contract and win. I Filed ebay complaint they said too late its 6 months after auction won. I always > paid by credit card. I am no longer sending them money next payments due > tomorrow. HELP SOMEONE! Please tell me these folks are not legite. This company is in Ohio, i am in ontario and cottage in quebec canada.

That alone is enough to break the agreement and ask for your payments back. The whole thing sounds a bit odd frankly.

Confused Re: cottage bought on ebay

I have asked for my money back and they continue to threaten lawyers on me for breach of contract and court costs if i dont follow the contract they sent me that i never signed. I mean seriously would you have sent them another 1200.00 to his brother to oversee cottage for the next year for insurance purposes plus for the taxes ? Yes odd but is any of this sound legal? Where do i go from here?
