I was dumb enough to give money to spadester. As of today (June 2, 2009), the real money game is still a scam. They might be enticing some people with partial payouts to get them to deposit more money, but they have stopped making most payouts. Instead, they respond to payout requests with emails to get you to send personal information. Then they have your money and your identity, but you still do not get paid.

For what it's worth, Spadester claims to have rectified this situation in the last few weeks. Anyone get their money?

Gosh, I don't know how to make this any more clear than the previous posts, but there is no "situation". Spadester is simply a scam site run by thieves. They'll send whatever emails they can devise, in order to get you to send them money or obtain your identity information (in particular, selling your social security number is a booming "industry").
This is not how legitimate gambling sites operate. To answer the previous post - no, I haven't been paid, but I did receive an email today from Spadester, with the usual nonsense. |

hello,
Well i never deposited $0.01 but i did manage to scrape $278 from a $4 no deposit over 18 month ago. as an affiliate i also signed up 300+ players. I have tried for the past 3 months to cash out $150 from my players account + $250 from my affiliation account but excuus after excuus. To all those that own a blog/website/Forum make sure to post spadester.con so when other people google spadester they get tons of bad press to read b4 they get to see spadester! also post some headers like spadester = con/scam in newsgroups, this will make sure that everytime someone uses a search engine to find spades for real money they get 100s of pages with honest reviews about them cons! Yes, Spadester is 100% criminal. There is sometimes a pyramid scheme payment (they give you some money, expecting you’ll make a larger deposit) and always they try to steal your identity. And they never pay you, except for perhaps the initial pyramid scheme payment.
This is not just my story. It is from many, many people. I started playing for money in late 2008. I obtained many “spade” ranking, as did many others. I even made 4 spades (3600 ranking). Now, I don’t play on Spadester, but I can still log in because my account is valid. But I no longer see any of the other many “spade” ranking people who I used to play with. It’s quite obvious they stopped playing for that same reason that I stopped – there is no payment. I have been in email contact with Spadester for the last 18 months. Constantly. They just don’t pay and they try to trick you into sending your identity information. After the first few months – many email requests for my payments go unanswered. Finally they send a partial payment by check, along with a letter stating that I’ll get a 150% bonus if I make a deposit. I make no further deposit, but continue requesting my payments, with email after email, extending over an entire year. Mostly the emails go ignored, but I get occasional interesting responses. I put them here, for your amusement (but they were all obviously intended to trick me). Here are some sample emails from Spadester (with my notes in parentheses): - Before we can send you a check, you must send us a copy of your credit card, driver’s license, passport and your social security number. Also, please scan a copy of your signature indicating that you’ve made a deposit. (but they already sent me a check, so why do they want this info? I tell them that I already sent the info when they sent me the first check) - We are sorry, but we don’t keep the ID information after 3 months and you must send it all again (but their web site FAQ states the info must only be sent once) - Why do you want a check? It might get lost in the mail. Certainly you should get a Payoneer card (that’s a prepaid Mastercard, but Payoneer requires your identity information and they give that information to Spadester, so I insist on getting a check) - Ok, we’ll send you a check (I wait several weeks, without getting a check, so I send them another email). - See, we told you that checks would get lost. Why don’t you get a Payoneer card? (I attempt to get a Payoneer card using fake information, and Payoneer wants me to send scanned images of various ID – instead of doing that, I send more email to Spadester) - Please send your ID information directly to us at Spadester. Please include your social security number. (I ask them to send a check again; apparently a long time has passed and they have forgotten their earlier lie) - I’m sorry, but US money laundering laws prevent us from sending a check (ridiculous since I’m just asking for a few hundred dollars) - You must send your ID information to either us or Payoneer (I tell them that I have obtained a prepaid Mastercard from my local store, and to simply transfer to that card) - We cannot do the ACH transfer (despite their claim on their FAQ). You must send us your ID. (Note that the Payoneer card also would be loaded by ACH transfer, but Spadester is just trying to get my ID information and is trying to create reasons to convince me to send the ID information) I hope one of your emails matches one of the above. Remember that *all* of the other top spades players have stopped playing on Spadester for quite a while. We are just not being paid. |

Ha Ha. The spadester crooks try something that you do not mention. I tell them to close my account. Web site FAQ says to send username and password - that is all that is needed. I do that. They tell me I need to send ID information before they close account to confirm my identity. What is that about? I opened account with just email address. How can they use ID to confirm that it is me who is closing account?
I say "ha ha", but the joke is on me. They never pay anybody. At least they cannot steal my identity if I do not send them ID. |

This is obviously a fake post by spadester itself. How lame. They don't pay. They take your identity information and then they still don't pay. Don't get a payoneer card, since payoneer sends your identity information directly to spadester.

Ignore this jayme guy. He's also posting on another complaint web site. He's promoting both spadester and the payoneer card. I've been there, done that. So have many, many others. Spadester is a fraud. They just don't pay. They get your ID info from payoneer. If you tell spadester to pay out to a different debit mastercard, they will refuse. They want to get your ID, which they can only get from the spadester link to the payoneer site. Then they will still refuse to pay.
I don't know how to be more clear, but spadester is run by crooks, thieves, swindlers. They will completely ignore the payout rules on their own web site. Run away (very quickly) from spadester. |
