If you have 10,000.00 dollars at any given time thru out the year you are required by law to report this and fill out a form. you better report this money to Treasury Department or you could face a fine and jail sentence. If your accountant didn't tell you these things I would start looking for another accountant.

Yes taxes need to be paid on money you make but you are more than free to have more than 10,000 sitting around.

You said if you have more than 10,000 at any given time, not it you make more than that. And the law stupid is if you make more than $600 a year you have to report it on income tax.
