Well I think people might want to broaden their understanding of the term "truth". Truth is what you personally believe. For example you might beleive computers are the worst thing that ever happen. You came to that conclusion because when the factory you worked in was computerized you lost your job. At age 40 that created a huge financial issue for you because it was hard to get another job at that age that paid you so well. To top it off, someone access your PIN off your bank card and compromised your account!. While the bank did eventually return your money after a lengthy investigation your stress nearly caused a heart attack because the $3000 the scammers got was to pay your mortgage! So is it "true" that computers at the worst thing that ever happened? Well maybe not for you! Maybe you're a network specialist running a really lucrative business and you're raking in the cash. $3000? That's what you made off one client last week and that was chump change. Trying to convice the factory worker that got laid off and had to wait months to recover his $3000 mortgage money scammed from his account is going to be next to impossible. Yet you are both telling the "truth" from your perspective. Airplanes are the safest way to travel. That's my truth but tell that to Jane Jones who lost her 3 kids and husband in 1979 when a DC-10 crashed after taking off from OHare Airport. I think her "truth" may be different than mine. The cheerleaders HAVE TO keep belienving Nick is telling the truth and adopt it as their truth. What most everyone on this board is missing (yes I know it's frustrating) is these people for the most part anyway, don't really have another option. Without it they will have NOTHING for their retirement. Wouldn't the thought of working til your 80, living in a rundown apartment with 30 years old appliances, a car held together with crazy glue and duct tape, going to the food bank for groceries and the Sally Ann for a new shirt and pants be MORE THAN enough to get you to hop onboard P2P if yu had no alternative funding for retirement??? Nick promoted this program as giving the average Joe the opportunity to earn the same kind of returns as the big boys do. He told them their original investment was guaranteed, they could put their investments on autopilot and just keep watching that money roll in month after month. Best of all you only needed to scrape together a couple hundred bucks to get started. Over the course of about 12 months (if you let it continue to rollover) you would be pulling out $40k every second month. $20K vs. $1200 or maybe even less!!! (401Ks took a big hit this past year if you haven't heard) These people want this to be true and even more importantly they NEED it to be true because THEY HAVE NO BACK-UP PLAN and "retirement" is not going to be their golden years it's going to be their copper years. Do they still make pennies from copper??? Regardless, I am sure you get my point. When that's what you have to look forward to, it's easy to become an ardent P2P convert. When you lose hope you've lost everything. These people need to preach the truth about the P2P dream because for them, it's better than contemplating a retirement nightmare. |

Well yeah but unfortunately it's not true and most of them know that. They're just playing the same old game. They don't care as long as they get theirs. F_ck everyone else. And when this one dies, they'll say the standard lines to the losers and move on to the next just like they did to P2P. |
