What is VAT and what is IBT
My friend has purchased antiques and gold in England and has paid an IBT tax, but when she was getting ready to fly home they detained her for not paying a VAT tax, what is that? and shouldn't they have explained that to her? at the time when she was filing the paperwork with Customs? What can be done?
