HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!

Im looking for a lawyer in china that can help me out with an issue Im having..I made a purchase for the amount of $1600, and the company I purchased from claims the goods are in customs, IN china. They sent me a document that is suppose to be from the Customs department, BUT this documents DOES NOT LOOK OR READS as if its an authentic legal document. How can I get my money back and also sue them???

Really sorry, but you probably lost your money - this is quite a common scam from China at the moment - the company probably doeasn't officially exist - even if you get a local lawyer the people involved would suddenly disappear and there's no way you would find them. There are a lot of fake companies in China in particular, but other countries too. It's not wise to buy from there unless you are absolutley sure the company is legal and reputable.
You should never send money in advance - in most places payment against a bill of lading would be recommended for larger items (machines for example), but even this paperwork can be faked!
