I contacted China Sunrise to buy motorcycles to import into America. Kevin, the person that contacted me from China Sunrise assured that the motorcycles that I was interested in were EPA Certified. He even sent a copy of the certification to prove it.
As soon as I sent my money and told Kevin that it had been wired, I got an **Urgent** email letting me know that the motorcycles weren't certified. How could this be? What was the certification for that he supplied to me? Was it a fake? He told me to pick another product. I was told my a customs worker that if the vehicles weren't EPA Certified, that they wouldn't be allowed in the country. I was confused and wasn't interested in another of the products that they offered. Besides, how was I to know if he would lie about the certification to me like he already did? What would I do if uncertified bikes arrived? The customs agent told me that they would be shipped back to China. I told Kevin that I wanted my money back. He replied by saying that the Chinese Government had a law that forbid the return of US Dollars. How absurd is that? I said to send back Chinese Yuan and my bank would convert. I spent many months trying to get my money back. He asked me to send invoices and jump through all kinds of ridiculous hoops to "get the money through the Chinese Bank." Finally, Kevin wanted to send back about half of what I sent him saying that they had already purchased product to fill my order. This seemed impossible to me. I received the **urgent** notice within a week of my wiring the funds to him. What kind of 'expense' could my order have generated? He suggested that I buy ATV's for Christmas presents instead of getting a refund. I didn't want to give ATV's. I didn't want anything to do with Kevin any longer. He was obviously not worthy of trust. To this date, more than a year later I have not received a penny back of the money that I sent to China Sunrise Vehicle Company. I am a widow with young children and tried to make money by setting up a motorcycle business. Kevin at China Sunrise Vehicle Company stole my money. I have no motorcycles and no money. Kevin doesn't even bother returning my emails asking about the 50% refund that he was willing to send me. I got nothing. Please avoid this company. Kevin even went so far as to threaten me by telling me that if I complained to anyone, he would withhold my refund. He never sent it anyway. Donna Irwin |

I had a similar experience and corresponded with Trade Key for over 4 months about China Sunrise and their rip-off practices. I even sent Trade Key a copy of every correspondence between China Sunrise and myself. They promised to lower the "Trust Points" for China Sunrise, but never have.
Don't trust Trade Key either. They don't care about the individual that gets ripped off. All they care about is company that lists with them. AVOID China Sunrise Vehicle and Trade Key both. Neither is to be trusted! |

There are definately some companies to watch out for. It seems though that you cannot always tell until it is too late and the wheels start to come off. It is important that people report their bad experiences as vocally as possible to protect others and bring the companies to account.
See www.trends-fitness.com for an example of notifying the world of a rip off company who sell treadmills and fitness equipment from Ningbo in China. You have to shout it from the roof tops and make these companies know that they cannot hide and the eyes of the world are on them. |

To the person that said "That is not true! Don't generalize": You MUST be a damned Chinese to say something like that. I have been living in China for a year now and I can attest 100% that one could invariably say that ALL Chinese people are liars, deceitful. They are the most cunning people on this planet. I have been travailing the world for 8 years now and have visited more countries than most people can name. Some countries for a few days other countries for much longer and China is the SINGLE worst country in the world. I do not see how any thing gets done in this country at all and I do not see how they can manufacture anything with worthless people everywhere that do nothing except take a 2 hour lunch break and then go to diner after that to build "guan xi". Everything revolves around power and money here and if you do not have at least one of those you can do nothing. All Chinese people think that they are the best people in the world and look down on everyone else. They all lie about EVERYTHING no matter how small it might be (ie: I am 27 when they are really 36, they will call you or finish something tomorrow and 2 months later you are STILL waiting), then they have the audacity to get angry if they even think that you might possibly be lying. I now understand why everyone around the world always called them "*****s". My advice: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CHINA EVER!!! Even if it is at your local Walmart, buy Korean, Japanese, American, whatever, but do NOT buy Chinese made goods. We must stop supporting these hypocritical self-righteous bastards.

I have been involved with 3 companies trying to do business with China on and off for over 30 years.
Once I even worked in a export office in China for a European company. I agree with the last post. Chinese people in general NOT trustworthy and it seems to be a culture to simply lie about everything even thing that don't matter. Large American corporation may possible be able to run factories in China using their own quality control, and better yet owning the factory. But any middle size company or smaller business person trying to import from China, without presence in China WILL GET BURNED . My last experience was a small machine we bought from China. The machine we received had all the specs different from the tech sheet making it unusable for the job. I was not surprised, I guess i expected this. But the e-mail I got from the company in China did in fact surprise me. The suggested that we should just use the machine for a different job or have a company here in the USA rebuild the machine. The arrogance was just unbelievable. Usually they BS you and go around the subject and pretend not to understand. This was in 2001 and since then I absolutely refuse to waste my companies time and resources doing business with China. We do however import from one company in Taiwan but you must be careful. Taiwan is better that China but many of the problems are the same. The crazy "lying about everything factor" is the same in Taiwan. |

It's a good thing that through internet we quickly come to know about these kind of frauds. A poor widow suffered but her sufferings are lesson to us. My sympathies to that poor lady. Soon this kind of frauds will be exposed to the world.

I also live and work in China. I can't say all Chinese lie, just all the ones I have met. It's the national pass-time, good liers are admired. They lie when the truth would work just as well.
