Smile Re: China Sunrise Vehicle Company *Deceitful, Liars, Fraud, Scam* AVOID!

Hi,

I hesitated a long time before I finally decided to post a reply here.

I was born in China and emigrated to Canada few years ago. Now, with an MBA degree from Canada, I am working in China as a Canadian citizen, on work visa/permit, running a small export company with a few local friends.

I can see the rage from the posters here who experienced negatively dealing with some bad Chinese people. I feel really sorry about that.

I guess there are more profound background than saying all Chinese people are liars. If that was true, the recent Olympic game would not be like what we saw in the past weeks.

1. The cultural and value system difference is so great that even the definition of lying is different in China and US. I have noticed this when I was studying the Business Law at the business school in Canada. Most Chinese people would not testify against his or her friends or relatives on court even if they are WRONG or committed crime. And this is largely acceptable in China. But in western society, this action itself may infringe on some laws.

2. The fast track economic growth in the past 30 years has been blowing away some traditional values / virtues that was largely compromised during the Cultural Revolution before China opened its door to outside world in 1978. People are very money centric, from kids to adults, from individuals to the government. Don't you see the country has been growing the economy at the price of the environment and people's health?

3. The fast changing rules and regulations from the government, which are far from clearly defined anyway, creates a lot trouble for normal business. Not to mention the corrupted government officers are distorting the enforcements of all these rules. One container we exported 3 weeks ago was stopped by local customs and we were told verbally that we used wrong HS Code and we should pay some penalty, and tax, and ... This is the 3rd container of the same product and the previous two were all fine and one of them was even opened and examined and passed. In the same time, some people claiming knowing the customs officers is offering an under table service to 'nail this down', but at a fee to us. I now know that central government has reduced the salary for the whole customs system since last year, so the clerks are finding new ways to generate some grey income to compensate themselves, at the cost of legitimate business.

I hope all this comments can provide some ground for understanding the true situation here, not for lying though. Some lie in the trade is actually not lie, but was caused by changing rules.

Buying from China may be still cheaper than buying from some other countries, but the margin may not be as shown on the invoice. There are some grey price to be paid.

I am very thankful that I became a Christian when I was in Canada. Without the support of the faith in the Almighty, I can't imagine how I can face all these value conflict in such a fast changing environment.

The Chinese people have a huge chip on their shoulder. They feel that they are not only superior to all other races, but that it is their right and privelage to screw everyone else. They would rather climb a tree to tell an inocuous lie than to stand on the ground and speak the truth.

They honor nothing more than conning someone else. if you can tell a lie to steal from someone, this is a highly admired skill in China. There is no disgrace in becoming rich by stealing from others.

I say to hell with the whole country. STOP BUYING ANYTHING CHINESE! You are just perpetuating this god damned country and its theiving people when you do. I have lived in China for almost 8 years and I have learned to despise and distrust them. They're the only race of people that I feel this way toward. They are the sneakiest, most cunning, back stabbing, self serving people on the planet.

I agree with all that is said here about doing business with China - however, I'd like to refer to a comment made earlier about Taiwan having the same problems of the lying factor - I've been living in Taiwan and doing business with Taiwanese companies for many years and I have to say I've had a very good experience with them. Yes, there are some bad eggs, as there are everywhere in the world, but for the most part I find the products of very high quality, after sales service second to none etc.
Incidently my worst experiences have been with American companies!

Angry Re: China Sunrise Vehicle Company *Deceitful, Liars, Fraud, Scam* AVOID!

Hello.
I have an International trading company and we sell cosmetic and beauty supply in U.S market and of course globally.
We recently started post on Alibaba and Tradekeys and this is really pissing me off!
There are so many inquiries from China and our company was very happy to expand our market in China. Since our company is a good member of “World Trading Association” we have a good relationship with our members who’s living in China or working in China.
Thus, we asked them to research about all these companies in China.
And so far, total five out of five were all fake and trying to fraud other companies!!
Not only this is wasting our valuable time, it also brings distrust to ALL of those Chinese companies. So far, 100% of them were not legit and we decided to make sure every time they email us, we are going to research about them first before we even email them and waste time!
Also we are going to make sure to post online their address, phone number and company name to tell all of you to be alert and be careful about those companies.
And please post online if you find out any companies are trying to fraud.
I really wish there is a way for us to figure out if they are legit or not. So we all don’t have to waste our time and effort.
ALSO, please note that they constantly change their business name.
Following, fake company name and address:
1. Henan Giant Commerce and Trade Co. Ltd.

Fax: 86-371-63673629

As soon as I sent my money and told Kevin that it had been wired, I got an **Urgent** email letting me know that the motorcycles weren't certified.

How could this be? What was the certification for that he supplied to me? Was it a fake? He told me to pick another product. I was told my a customs worker that if the vehicles weren't EPA Certified, that they wouldn't be allowed in the country. I was confused and wasn't interested in another of the products that they offered. Besides, how was I to know if he would lie about the certification to me like he already did? What would I do if uncertified bikes arrived? The customs agent told me that they would be shipped back to China.

I told Kevin that I wanted my money back. He replied by saying that the Chinese Government had a law that forbid the return of US Dollars. How absurd is that? I said to send back Chinese Yuan and my bank would convert. I spent many months trying to get my money back. He asked me to send invoices and jump through all kinds of ridiculous hoops to "get the money through the Chinese Bank." Finally, Kevin wanted to send back about half of what I sent him saying that they had already purchased product to fill my order. This seemed impossible to me. I received the **urgent** notice within a week of my wiring the funds to him. What kind of 'expense' could my order have generated?

He suggested that I buy ATV's for Christmas presents instead of getting a refund. I didn't want to give ATV's. I didn't want anything to do with Kevin any longer. He was obviously not worthy of trust.

To this date, more than a year later I have not received a penny back of the money that I sent to China Sunrise Vehicle Company. I am a widow with young children and tried to make money by setting up a motorcycle business. Kevin at China Sunrise Vehicle Company stole my money. I have no motorcycles and no money. Kevin doesn't even bother returning my emails asking about the 50% refund that he was willing to send me. I got nothing.

Please avoid this company. Kevin even went so far as to threaten me by telling me that if I complained to anyone, he would withhold my refund. He never sent it anyway.

I am presently in China , trying to do business with a company in Nanjing, this is my 8th visit to this god awful country, I completely agree with the comment that ALL CHINESE WITHOUT EXCEPTION ARE BORN LIERS. I will even go further, it seems that they take some perverted pleasure out of missleading western companies and changing the rules of business when ever it suits them. If there could be an Olympics for Deceipt , Disshonesty and unearned arrogance the Chinese would win gold in every catagory ( they would probably brag about that ). It is 10pm on a Sunday evening and I am waiting in a Chinese conference room for the *******s who have just changed the OEM agreement 8 hours before I am due to fly back to the USA and expect me to sign costing me Millions of Dollars. I am so sick of playing their game of disshonesty, they make a big deal about taking you out each evening for Dinner ( of which 99% belongs straight in the garbage ) and toasting your " good health and mutual agreements for long luxurious cooperation" ( yes the Chinglish makes me sick) and in the meantime they are scheming how to rip you off. I am returning back to my hotel and screw them and their contract, lets see how long their arrogance will last when they dont have any business.
