I need law articles on the human right of armed self-defense from other countries (not the United States).
Law articles must be in English. I have a human rights complaint against the United States for our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms in intrastate and interstate travel. (I am a U.S. citizen). My human rights complaint is at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Petition No. 1142-06. |

I may have what you need, but I need you to be more specific, such as the place that the incident took place. So I can provide you with the proper article.
Good Luck |

I need law articles on the human right of armed self defense. Any country. Any scenario. Example the human right of self defense against common criminals and against one's own government committing genocide.
I intend to show that the human right of armed self defense is a universal human right possessing "jus cogens" status in international law, and thereby an "obligatio erga omnes" for members States of the United Nations even the Union Nations proclaims no human right to self defense for the individual. |

What actually happened that caused you to file, just curious--if you wish to share that.

IN THIS U.N. DOCUMENT
http://www.iansa.org/un/documents/sa...eport_2006.pdf Page 2 Summary: Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations applies to States acting in self-defence against armed attacks against their State sovereignty. It does not apply to situations of self-defence for individual person Page 14; paragraph 44: "There is no independent or supervening right in international human rights law of self-defence that would require States to provide civilians with access to small arms" COUNTER-POINT: Declaration on Human Rights Defenders http://www2.ohchr.org/english/issues...eclaration.htm http://daccessdds.un.org/doc/UNDOC/G...df?OpenElement http://www.davekopel.com/2A/LawRev/T...lf-Defense.pdf OBJECT HERE IS TO PROVE THE U.N. WRONG ON THE POINT THAT INDIVIDUALS DO NOT HAVE A UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHT OF ARMED SELF-DEFENSE. Dave Kopel article stopped short of making that claim. I want to make that claim at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. |

And the most current report or laws passed concerning of what you are looking for.. go to http://law.nd.edu/faculty/oconnell/S...Wallenberg.pdf This link would give youa clue about Limiting Self-Defense To Preserve the Peace and Protect Human Rights. Once again I hope that this is what you are lokking for Good Luck |

That article you suggested was close, but off the mark. The article focused on the right of self-defense for a an individual nation. I am looking for law articls on the right of self-defense for an individual person against its own government (i.e., government committing criminal activities, genocide, as well as the right of self-defense for the individua person against everyday common criminals) as a universal human right.
