Not sure if this is the right forum!
Recently in the Bahamas with friends. My buddy met some people, also from US. In the course of the evenings festivities, he picked up one of the girls, slipped and they both fell. She had a broken nose and scrapes. He offered to pay for medical bills. Heard that she flew back to US next day for plastic surgery. A police report was filed in Freeport. What is legal liability for my buddy? I know he is not obligated to anything without a lawsuit. Can she file any action in US? Does any action and resulting decisions have to be in Bahamas? Are any decisions enforceable in US? Many thanks for help. vballmike |

If she can prove her was negligent or careless and caused the injury she could technically sue him.
