Default Unborn child: My wife is Ukrainian Non-EU, I am Maltese EU

Hello. My wife is Ukrainian Non-EU. I am Maltese EU. We got married in Malta, hence she gained citizenship. May 2012 she left to Ukraine with 3 months pregnancy as she decided to give birth in Ukraine. I am the father of the unborn child. Now she decided not to continue the relation. I do not yet know the reason. What happens in this situation? How can I see my child? I have alot of questions to ask you, but what is to be done in this case?

I wish to inform you that you can file for child custody after birth of child. The place where the child resides will have jurisdiction. In your case if your wife has gone to Ukraine then courts of Ukraine will have jurisdiction. Courts consider best interest of child as main consideration. You can show n court that it is in interest of child that you should also be granted child visitation or custody.

Do you have her current address and/or phone number? Call her or write her and tell you want to be a part of your child's life. If that doesn't work, get a lawyer.
