Default UK small business vs US giant company

Hi,

We are a small UK based web business. Our client as a big corporation based in the US has been pending the payments to us for over 4 months. The problem lays in the contract between the client and their third party, which is in charge of handling of payments to us. Our client and their own agency was never agreed on agency fees (our client did not realise it before they made a contract with us), and also they've found terms and conditions on their side that we had to obtain the business insurance. This business liability insurance has a huge limits that we cannot afford and we are asking for the insurance waiver now. As our client is a huge multilingual corporation, they are still going through the long process and we still haven't received the outstanding payments at all and it is getting more difficult to get hold of them as their answers are always 'escalating the mattes to executive levels' etc.

To proceed with a quick solution and get us paid, could World Law's lawyers give us the advice on this matter if this is a case? And could you tell us what sort of advices and level of actions we can expect World Law's lawyers?

Thank you very much in advance.

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to the state attorney general's office.

World Law's lawyers could certainly also help resolve this if need be. You may email them on the home page.
