If an American opens a Costa Rican Corporation that provides medical care in Costa Rica, can an American tourist file an American lawsuit against an American doctor or American owner as if he were practicing in the states?
Is there any place to learn more about Costa Rican law that is not in Spanish? |

No--they normally have to sue in CR. You are not likely to see too much law regarding those jurisdictional issues on the web--at least not easily summarized.

Thanks for the feedback (that question was for my husband). I guess we'll have to brush up on our Spanish.

The Costa Rican Embassy may have some translations and general law guides as well.
