Divorce & International Custody questions

My husband and I may be getting a divorce. We are still in the midst of trying to work things out. If everything we tried and divorce is the final answer, as a housewife with no income, I would like to know what's my right and all. The more information I could get will empower me to have more confidence in myself to pursue the divorce.

As I'm from Asia, family are all there. We have one son who is 5 years old now. Therefore, I won't be able to live and support the child by myself in the standard living in United States. We have been traveling back to Asia and he love the lifestyle there too as we have close family members and friends there. I would love to have my son with me but that's one of the reason he wouldn't agree on as the distance to visit him is too far. But he's unable to care for him here. How do these situation usually works out?
