Urgent Advice, havent seen my kids for 5 months !

I am American born & have two girls(6 & 8) who are also US citizens but were born in El salvador of Salvadoeran mother . We have divorced there but she will not allow me access because she wants lots of $$$ and a house for her ! I have been told that I could hire a US lawyer to ask a court to ask for my american kids to be brought to the US and if she does not , could rule that they be brought back via our embassy in el salvador ! She is a lawyer and has been miss-using ilegally the judicial courts there causing great injustice to me there and to revert this will take ages because of corruption there ! I desire to bring up my kids as a responsible single custody father in the USA and not in el salvador which is not in the best of interest for them ! What can I do or who to contact ? Are there any court orders on visitation etc. at this point.
